Marc Marquez (official Honda n ° 93), 1st in the championship : "We arrive at Misano in good shape after some good races and a productive test. During the test we tested a lot of parts and we got a good understanding of how the Honda works in Misano this season. I am confident for the weekend but as always we will face strong opposition, especially after the test. Our approach does not change, we have our own battle plan and we will see what happens on Sunday ".

  • MotoGP tests in Misano :

Andrea Dovizioso (official Ducati n ° 4), 2nd in the championship : "After the incident in England, I am lucky to be able to participate in the San Marino Grand Prix without any physical problems. It was a really serious accident at Silverstone and the consequences could have been much worse. During both test days I wasn’t fully recovered yet, but now I’m fine, I feel in good shape and I can’t wait to race on this circuit. It’s a very special event, it’s close to home and I’m sure the support from the fans will be fantastic. The goal is to repeat the results of the last two seasons: we got on the podium and we were competitive all weekend ".

Alex Rins (official Suzuki n ° 42), 3rd in the championship : "I’m happy to arrive in San Marino after the great race at Silverstone. After the victory we continued with two days of testing at Misano. We worked on some small improvements on the bike. I’m really motivated to attack this weekend, especially after a little rest and training ".

Danilo Petrucci (official Ducati n ° 9), 4th in the championship : "Racing in Italy is already something unique, but on an Italian motorcycle like Ducati it’s even more special. In the last races, we were a little behind the podium, but after the good feeling that I had had during the tests in Misano, I can say that I am ready to do a weekend at the top. It will not be easy because our competitors have also benefited from a few days of testing and they will surely be ready, but I I’m very confident because I was really satisfied with the feeling I got with the bike. We’ll see if the track conditions are similar to those of the test, because it will be essential to be able to interpret the conditions in the best possible way, everything like tire wear ".

Maverick Viñales (official Yamaha n ° 12), 5th in the championship : "We have never stopped working during this new two week break. We have prepared ourselves to arrive in Misano in great physical and mental shape. We are very satisfied with the positive results of the last races and we have to stay focused to finish the season in a good position overall. To be the first Yamaha is my goal as always. The Misano test was useful as we have tried a lot of things, not only for next year but also for the current season. The San Marino Grand Prix is a sort of home Grand Prix for Yamaha (the official team is based in Italy, editor’s note) and we will have a lot of fans supporting us here, so I can’t wait to get back on my M1 and to fight for the podium, carried by an incredible atmosphere ".

Valentino Rossi (official Yamaha n ° 46), 6th in the championship : "Riding in front of my fans here is fantastic because it really is my Grand Prix! My house is 10 km from the circuit. I grew up in Misano and the first time I rode a motorbike was in Misano. We expect to see a lot of fans this weekend. A lot of people, a lot of yellow, so we will try to give our maximum to be strong and competitive. ".

Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha satellite n ° 20), 10th in the championship : "After more than 150 practice laps at Misano, I think we have configured the bike well so we can be strong from the first free practice. It was really an advantage to do these two days of practice before the race . It’s one of the first times I’ve been able to do this mid-season. We already have a very good pace and we know we’re very strong in qualifying. So if we can improve a bit our pace in the race, I know we can be really well prepared for the last few laps. The track is quite small but it has a bit of everything which is good for us and our bike ".

Cal Crutchlow (Honda LCR # 35), 9th in the championship : "The test did not go very well, I don’t know why but I did not have a good feeling. I quickly stopped the first day because it is sometimes better to start from zero. We did not have a good feeling. not a lot of parts to test but I wasn’t fast on the second day either … That said, that doesn’t mean we should be any faster. I arrive as usual with optimism and the circumstances can quickly change. My goal is to have a good weekend in Misano and get a good result. I’ve done it here before so I’ll try to do it again. ".

Franco Morbidelli (Yamaha satellite n ° 21), 10th in the championship : "Misano is very special for me because it is my real race at home. I see the circuit from home, I train a lot and I really like riding there. My friends and family always come to watch the race. and it’s important to relax or motivate yourself at the right time. It’s really positive to arrive here after two excellent days of testing in Misano. We are in a good position to get a good result after the work we have done on the bike set-up, but we’ll see what level of grip and what track conditions we have this weekend. We can still make progress in fast corners like turns 3 and 11, so our setting is not yet perfect for racing. We’ll have time in practice and we know what needs to be improved. So we’re hoping for a productive Friday to get to where we want to be. ".

Joan Mir (official Suzuki n ° 36), 13th in the championship : "It’s great to finally be back! I’m feeling stronger, I’m really looking forward to getting back on the track on Friday morning and I hope to have a good weekend. Misano is a track that I like and I have already had good results. We also tested here at the end of August, so I’m a bit used to it ".

Jorge Lorenzo (official Honda n ° 99), 19th in the championship : "I feel stronger every day and I am able to train better. The rest period between races has helped me. I can’t wait to get back on the bike and see how I feel physically on the RC213V. We haven’t completely finished the test, but we were able to find some good information to be able to start the weekend well. Misano has often been a good circuit for me, so I hope this weekend we we can continue to reduce our delay ".
