"A success" according to the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM), which took the decision to create an FIM Series for electric motorcycles in 2010, managed by the Road Racing Commission – which controls MotoGP and SBK in particular. This important and innovative project will be led by an English entrepreneur, founder of TTXGP, Azhar Hussain.

According to the International Federation, the FIM Electric Motorcycle Series "will provide an exciting and stimulating international platform to develop and test developments in electric motorcycles and related technology. The aim is to advance low-emission technological innovations. of carbon, to demonstrate that low-emission transport technologies have evolved and can be "fun", fast and challenging ".
