Circuit Carole: new record for GMT94, Jules Cluzel and their R6
Since 2013, the GMT94 team has held the absolute record on the Carole circuit with its endurance Yamaha R1 driven by David Checa. This Tuesday June 16, 2020, Christophe Guyot’s team improved its benchmark time thanks to Jules Cluzel and their World Supersport R6: 59 "266 ! Debriefing.

Remi Guyot’s team – falling to Carole last week – were also looking to verify that their top driver, Jules Cluzel, was still in the game despite the three and a half month break due to confinement … and despite his very recent paternity ?!

"Julo" did not disappoint, on the contrary! After having regained its marks yesterday and fearing the stormy showers announced this Wednesday afternoon, the international n ° 16 had to quickly pick up speed this morning. So much so that the Supersport record quickly fell by the wayside !
Even stronger, Cluzel finally improved the absolute record held by the GMT94 and its R1 … 59 seconds and 266 thousandths: it’s confirmed, Jules and his R6 are in great shape! And they will try to drive the point home tomorrow, if the expected morning clearings allow it.
After this satisfactory recovery, Jules will be joined by his teammate Corentin Perolari – who trains at home in the south and breaks records in Alès and Ledenon? – July 8 and 9 at the Barcelona circuit, then July 16 and 17 in Aragon for the first official WorldSBK tests since the Phillip Island race in February.
