Davide Giugliano: the succession of Max Biaggi ?

Official Ducati rider – and not Althea – Carlos Checa had to leave the Genesio Bevilacqua team but he will be supervised in 2013 by the no less prestigious Alstare team led by Francis Batta. Davide Giugliano will remain in "his" Italian team.

"Davide Giugliano is our secret weapon", considers the big boss, Genesio Bevilacqua: "he is a young, aggressive driver who has crazy talent and with whom we will fight for the best places in the 2013 WSBK ranking".

Already last year, the 22-year-old rookie – he has been 23 since October 28 – marked the spirits by winning two podiums: one and one. Ranked in the Top 10 one in two races on average, the n ° 34 from Rome finished 10th in the 2012 championship, 21.5 points behind the best "beginner", the experienced Chaz Davies … on Aprilia !

After these promising beginnings at the helm of the Ducati 1198, then world champion, Davide will continue his career at the highest level next year on the handlebars of the new "best bike on the field": the Aprilia RSV4, titled this year in the company of Max Biaggi.
