Lucas Mahias at Kawasaki in World Supersport: "I needed a new motivation"
The Kawasaki Puccetti team has just made official what Le Journal moto du Net announced to you last week: French rider Lucas Mahias will ride a ZX-6R in World Supersport 2019. Explanations.
Lucas Mahias is therefore leaving Yamaha for Kawasaki in 2019. Le, (rider) and on had already ridden on the Puccetti Racing team during the Superbike and Supersport tests in Jerez last week, finishing behind Raffaele de Rosa on MV Agusta and Hikari Okubo , his teammate at Pucetti.

“During Jerez’s testing I remembered my battles with Kenan Sofuoglu and now that I’ve driven the Ninja ZX-6R I understand why he was so competitive,” Lucas continues. “The bike is already performing very well, but we still have a lot of work to do with lots of things to test. His contract with Kawasaki is signed for one year, with on the one hand an option for Lucas if he wants to get in Superbike in 2020 and on the other hand an automatic renewal if he wins the Supersport 2019 world champion title. follow of course: stay connected !
