Lucas Mahias on the new official R6 in Supersport 2017

After an eventful but fruitful 2016 season which notably saw him crown the world champion endurance pilot, Lucas Mahias has just signed with Yamaha to drive the official R6 of the GRT Racing team in the 2017 Mondial Supersport..

"It’s a great opportunity for me to be able to join the big Yamaha family," says Lucas Mahias, 27, with joy. "This year, I have shown that I can adapt to different machines, in different categories, through different championships. Next season I will join my favorite category and I intend to assert myself by continuing to work and progress on this machine which is already familiar to me ".
