The World Supersport pilots set off on a track declared dry. Jules Cluzel started from pole position and was the first to cross the curve to the right in front of Smith, Sofuoglu who widened and bundled past Jacobsen. Follow Rea, Rolfo, Baldolini, Menghi, Zanetti and Cardenas.

Still third, Sofuoglu is halfway between the leading duo and the two Britons Smith and Rea (Kyle Smith, not Bradley, and Gino Rea, not Jonathan ….) in the 3rd lap but easily fits under the CBR pot n ° 99 at the end of the 4th round.

The triple Turkish champion brakes American style on the descent of hairpin n ° 5. It is now the turn of our "Coq Supersportif" and his MV Agusta n ° 16 to enter the viewfinder of n ° 54 Kawasaki … Jules is warned that Kenan is behind him: he will have to continue to put big gas !

The first half of the race is over (9 laps out of 18) and Cluzel remains in first position. The n ° 54 is however in its wake and observes its great rival. Kenan’s attack comes three laps later at the end of the straight…

Determined to stay on Sofuoglu‘s wheel, Cluzel was almost thrown off his feet by his F3 when he applied the brakes on the descent to the hairpin. "Julo" miraculously stays on the track … He also stays incredibly focused and engaged, managing to get back into the Ninja’s aspiration at the end of this funny 13th lap..

Too generous too in approaching the hairpin, Lorenzo Zanetti gave up his fourth place to Kyle Smith on the 15th lap but regained it shortly after. PJ Jacobsen and Gino Rea are three seconds ahead and compete for the bottom step of the podium.

Three laps from the end, the (TV) spectators’ attention is focused on the fight for victory: Cluzel is still in contact with Sofuoglu … literally "in contact" by the way, because after taking the lead of the race on the first braking of the last lap, Jules is scuttled by Kenan when braking on turn 3 !

The Frenchie regained the advantage under braking from hairpin n ° 5 and kept it until under the checkered flag. Victims of two technical glitches on his F3 after Phillip Island, "Julo" finally won his second victory of the season and reduced his delay in the championship by 5 points: Kenan totaled 150 points, Jules 110.
