Supersport Race

Patrick Jacobsen is off to an excellent start, as is Florian Marino! Poleman Kevin Coghlan negotiates the first corner in third position ahead of Michael van den Mark, Jules Cluzel, Lorenzo Zanetti, Kenan Sofuoglu, Ratthapark Wilairot, Ricardo Russo, Rafaelle de Rosa, etc..

Marino and his Kawasaki completed the first lap in the lead ahead of Coghlan and his Yamaha who had just won under braking against Jacobsen and his Kawa ‘. Van den Mark and his Honda quickly take third place, followed by Jules Cluzel and his MV Agusta.

The No. 16 climbed to the third step of the podium in the third lap and watched his two rivals fight for the lead. Van den Mark gradually rises in temperature and makes his way to first place while Marino, on the contrary, slips in the standings from first to fourth place…

Meanwhile, Sofuoglu is back in the peloton: the three-time Supersport champion is fifth at the start of the fourth round. Author of the fastest lap in the race, Kenan takes advantage of a slight gap from Florian Marino to grab a new place.

Just ahead, Coghlan and Cluzel compete for second place without ever losing contact with the young Honda Pata rider posted in front. In the sixth lap, the five leading men have a four-second lead over a very agitated field. !

In front, Sofuoglu goes down first under 2 ’02 and reduces his delay on Van den Mark to less than a second … The Dutchman gives us superb glides on the brakes which destabilize somewhat – and keep at bay! – his pursuers.

Jules Cluzel went on the attack again and threw his F3 675 under Coghlan’s R6 in a large curve to the left. The Briton takes revenge at the end of the same 9th lap by passing it again under braking at the end of the straight line! These gun passes offer a little extra air to Michael van den Mark and his CBR600RR.

But the n ° 60 is lost in the following lap under braking of the straight line, deviates abundantly and must let pass the n ° 16 Cluzel and the n ° 88 Coghlan. The pace continues to climb and Jules sets the best time in the race, but does not get rid of his three opponents. !

Sofuoglu launches a first attack at the end of the 10th lap but cannot stay ahead of Van den Mark. The two men lose in the operation – then in a second a few moments later – a few lengths on the two leading men.

Kenan takes advantage of a new gap from Michael VDM to jump to third place and sets off in pursuit of Jules and Kevin. The n ° 54 did not have to force his talent, however, because Cluzel hit Coghlan under braking from the straight line three laps from the end !

The Frenchman gets up apparently unscathed but his MV Agusta refuses to leave. The innocent and unlucky Englishman quickly picked up his Yamaha and could take to the track in fifth position behind Marino and Zanetti, ahead of De Rosa, Tamburini, Leonov, Gamarino and Wilairot, etc..

At the head of the race, Kenan Sofuoglu applies himself: the Turk is only a small second ahead of Michael van den Mark but keeps him until the finish line! Eight seconds later, Florian Marino in turn tumbles under the checkered flag and takes a superb third place.

In the championship, Kenan and Jules are tied on points (25, one victory each) in fourth position. Kevin Coghlan takes the lead with 31 points, ahead of Florian Marino (29) and Rafaelle de Rosa (26). Michael van den Mark and Roberto Tamburini share sixth place (20 points each).
