MV Agusta can also do tourism, as the Italians prove with the Turismo Veloce. This was revised for the model year 2021 in the areas of engine, chassis, electronics and comfort.

Performance remains despite Euro 5

The well-known 800 series three-cylinder with backward rotating crankshaft for easier handling has been trimmed to Euro 5 with reduced internal friction through a DLC coating (Diamond-Like-Carbon), new engine management, modified injection and a modified exhaust system, but retains its output of 110 hp and the maximum torque of 80 Nm. The nominal speeds also remain unchanged. However, the new set-up should provide around 12 percent more torque in the range of 3,000 to 6,000 tours. MV uses the extra power with a longer gear ratio in order to lower the speed level. In addition, a modified clutch and an improved blipper improve the switching behavior.

As with the sister models, a new six-axis IMU flushes cornering ABS and lean angle-sensitive traction control into the electronics arsenal of the Turismo Veloce. A new 5.5-inch TFT display in the cockpit, which also makes contact with smartphones, provides information. In this way, navigation information can also be output directly on it.

Improved ergonomics, more comfort

With a new control system, the optional electronic Sachs chassis should work even more sensitively. New side plates increase the rigidity of the tubular steel frame. Newly arranged ergonomics have lowered the seat height by 20 to 830 millimeters. The new bank should still offer more convenience than before. A higher and wider, height-adjustable windshield promises improved wind protection. The lighting is based on full LED technology.

The prices for the new MV Agusta Turismo Veloce models start at 14,990 euros for the base model “Rosso”. The Turismo Veloce Lusso with electronically controlled chassis, heated grips and main stand is available for 18,990 euros, the Lusso SCS also comes with suitcases and the SCS automatic clutch, which has also been revised, for 20,990 euros. The top model SCS RC shines with additional attachments and a racing paintwork and is available from 22,990 euros. The delivery costs are already included in all prices.

Conclusion

MV Agusta is also raising the Turismo Veloce sports tourer model to Euro 5 level. As with the sister models, there is also cornering ABS and lean angle-sensitive traction control, a new cockpit and a modified chassis.
