MV-Agusta likes to highlight the competitive spirit of its machines – even more recently with the special RC editions, with the coat of arms of Reparto Corse. The F3 800 is renewed in 2019 in this decoration which is oh so rewarding and flamboyant. Less close to the 2018 version, the dress rocks in a black sling surrounded by the colors of Italy.
The F3 retains the same mechanical and technical characteristics of the base 800. It therefore received the same upgrades to switch to Euro 4. The 3-cylinder unit retains its power and torque, updates its engine management and benefits from a series of technical modifications, affecting the cylinder head, distribution, exhaust and the gearbox. The RC label applies to the two F3s, the 675 and this 800, for an announced production of 350 units. Hence the privilege of some special pieces. It is equipped with levers with anti-rupture ball joint and Ergal footrests, a carbon seat cowl, anodized aluminum covers to cover the mirror mounting plates, an MV Corse workshop stand. and a Reparto Corse cover. A numbered plate is attached to the triple tree, to confirm the exclusive side of this diva. The exhaust now comes from SC Project. The titanium line and the carbon silencer will unleash the musicality of the Tre Pistoni. And to top it off, the F3 800 RC comes with a control unit containing specific mapping that allows it to spit out 153 horsepower at 13,200 rpm.
The F3 800 embeds electronics Motor & Vehicle Integrated VSontrol System 2, that is to say about as much assistance as on a Superbike machine. Let’s make it simple: Ride By Wire throttle grip, 8-level anti-slip, 4 engine maps – one of which can be configured in all directions. Add to this the EAS shifter installed in series. Everything has been updated to improve operation and offer increased piloting efficiency.
For its pedigree, each of the 350 F3 RC produced for 2019 will be delivered with its certificate of authenticity..
