MV-Agusta F4 750 AGOSTINI 2004

Menus

The story of the F4 AGO begins like this. Giacomo Agostini is more than a pilot. A legend has been built around this character and his 15 world championship titles, including 14 obtained with the MV team. With this specific F4, the Schiranna factory wanted to pay tribute to this emblematic champion. His exploits today make the acronym MV-AGUSTA appear in golden letters in the minds of bikers. On the fairing sides of the already magnificent 750 were affixed yellow stickers stamped with the coveted No. 1. The back shell was adorned with a simple and elegant decoration in the colors of Italy. Limited to 500 copies, the beautiful would have taken care of the honor of her owner. It was announced that each customer would be entitled to his name and the serial number of his motorcycle engraved on an 18 carat gold plate.

Closely derived from the SPR, this F4 developed more than 140 hp but certain details distinguished it on this Ago version. The 50mm diameter Marzocchi inverted fork was treated with titanium nitride. The Sachs rear shock was doubly adjustable in compression. The forged and lightened rims with a particular design were signed Marchesini. And there was carbon in every corner: the front fender, the forced air intake ducts, the side panels protecting the air box … For the end of the day, a saddle oh so obvious. Always thick as a slice of bread crumbs, it was covered with a magnificent red alcantara.
What could be the motivation of MV-Agusta to design such a machine? Surely to create an exceptional motorcycle for a man who was just as exceptional. But from creation to series, the uncertainties remain. How many F4 750 Agostini were produced? With the exception of the model presented to the press, it is impossible to find any trace of this machine on sale. It is the 1000 which will take again the letters of glory, with an identical decoration, and many more horses in the boiler.
