The French helmet manufacturer Naca relies on ultra-light headgear. An integral and a jet helmet are available – both weighing less than 1,000 grams.

The Naca full-face helmet is called Le Castellet and weighs between 950 and 980 grams, depending on the equipment. The head protection with its vintage design is reminiscent of helmet models from the 1970s.

Helmet shell made from high-tech fibers

The helmet shell is created in a honeycomb structure from a mix of carbon, aramid and Nomex. Six ventilation openings on the chin provide fresh air. Another ventilation channel is located at the top in the forehead area. At the back of the flattened helmet shell, three appropriately designed openings provide ventilation. The overall shape is said to have been optimized in the wind tunnel. The scope of delivery includes a clear and a tinted visor. The chinstrap uses a double D-ring fastener.

The jet helmet by Naca, named Riviera, uses the same technology for the helmet shell. Without the chin guard, the open helmet even weighs just 850 grams. The Riviera can be ordered with or without a visor.

All Naca helmets are only made by hand on customer order. This production process allows the French to design the helmets according to customer requirements. The choice for the helmet shell includes numerous color combinations, designs and logos. The inner lining can also be designed individually. The French also accept design requests that go beyond this for an additional charge.

The ECE-tested Naca helmets are available in sizes from XS to L (56 to 59). The prices for the Naca Riviera start from 800 euros. The full-face helmet Le Castellet starts at 1,100 euros. The Naca helmets are manufactured in Signes near Le Castellet in France.
