The engine, identical to the previous model (twin-cylinder of 798 cm3 with liquid cooling still offering 86 Nm of torque at 5,800 rpm), sees its power increase by 3 horsepower to reach 90 hp at 8,000 rpm, while the gearbox offers a greater reduction short on the first and second gears (read in particular our).

Side cycle, the main developments of the bike dear to the BMW stunter concern the fork now inverted (and "even more torsionally rigid", assures BMW), a new handlebar offering"a more relaxed position", new rider’s footrests advanced and lowered by 10 mm and a new lower saddle (790 mm instead of 800).

Visually, the new F800R model 2015 is more dynamic with new sidewalls, radiator covers, a front fender and a headlight (now symmetrical in shape) revised.

BMW offers three option packs: the Safety Pack with ASC, ESA and RDC (tire pressure control), the Comfort Pack with on-board computer, heated grips, case racks and center stand and the Dynamic Pack with flashing indicators. LEDs, rear LED light unit, engine spoiler and passenger seat cowl in the same color as the motorcycle.

If the central stand is unfortunately also optional, we should also note in the BMW Motorrad accessories department an Akrapovic slip-on sport silencer "in titanium and special steel"who would offer"a particularly serious twin-cylinder sound", and" a weight saving of around 1.7 kg compared to the stock rear silencer ".

Main new features of the 2015 BMW F 800 R:

  • Increased power: 66 kW (90 hp) at 8,000 rpm instead of 64 kW (87 hp) at 8,000 rpm

  • Adapted first and second gearbox ratios

  • Redesigned fairing elements for an even more dynamic look

  • Four new colors (Light white, Racing blue metallic matt / Black satin gloss, Racing blue metallic matt / Light white and Light white / Black satin gloss)

  • Symmetrical main headlight

  • Inverted fork

  • Front radially mounted brake calipers

  • Lighter wheels with a dynamic look

  • New rider footrest

  • Saddle height reduced to 790 mm (against 800 mm previously)

  • New aluminum handlebars with variable diameter

  • ASC (Automatic Stability Control) traction control optional / accessory

  • Optional Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA)

  • 35 kW (48 hp) clamping kit optional / accessory
