MOTORCYCLE Rider Episode 1 – Motorcycles for little people

Motorcycles for little people, motorcycles for little women and for little men – this is the subject of the three MOTORRAD editorial staff Iris Fischer, Mona Pekarek and Dina Dervisevic. To do this, they tried around 100 current models. In fact, the extensive seat rehearsal tour was for the motorcycle fair “Motorcycles Dortmund” planned, which took place from March 5th to 8th, 2020. Since MOTORRAD canceled participation for known reasons, the colleagues switched to the regional dealers for their research, all of whom were still open at the time.

Measure inside leg length and compare with

In their first podcast episode, the colleagues report on their experiences, flops and favorites while trying out their seats. Mona and Dina measure 1.58 meters, Iris is 1.68 meters tall. Another measure is much more important, namely the inside leg length. Mona is 72 centimeters, Dina is 76 and Iris is 79 centimeters. So that you can classify directly which assessments of ours also apply to you, grab a measuring tape and stretch it from the top point on the inside of the thigh down to the floor. If you don’t have a tape measure, just take a piece of string or wrapping paper and then use the yardstick to measure how many centimeters inside leg you have. In addition, we clarify in this episode: What actually makes a motorcycle so that it is suitable for smaller motorcyclists? A low seat height alone is not enough.
