Practical - Aprilia and Moto Guzzi slightly increase their prices - Pre-owned APRILIA MOTO GUZZI

As announced a few months ago, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi (the two manufacturers of large-displacement motorcycles from the Piaggio group) are seeing their price lists undergo an increase. Details and explanations.

After the tempting discounts (still valid until the end of the month within the limit of) granted on Aprilia roadsters (read), the Lion of Noale but also the Eagle of Mandello have just communicated their new prices.

While the increases observed in some Japanese manufacturers appear to be as many blows of a hammer on a fragile two-wheeler market, the adjustments transmitted by the brands of the Piaggio group are intended to be relatively moderate: they confirm the forecasts that Jean-Philippe Dauviau, director marketing Piaggio France, told us during our recent survey on the impact of the crisis on European manufacturers (read).

"This is not directly because of the economic situation, but indeed the Piaggio Group will slightly increase its prices (by around 1 to 3% on average) in April. Manufacturing costs have not decreased this year, but sales yes: the less we sell our products, the more our production costs increase. This increase will be the only one practiced this year and it differs little from those we practiced in previous years.", then analyzed Mr. Dauviau.

Thus, the new Aprilia price list reveals no explosion. We note, for example, that it will now be necessary to spend € 3,339 for the acquisition of an Atlantic 125 (€ 3,199 previously), € 6,350 for a Scarabeo 500 Light (€ 6,219 previously) and € 8,399 for a Shiver (€ 8,999 with ABS and € 8,799 for the new GT version). The Dorsoduro goes from € 8,799 to € 8,849, while the Mana and its interesting automatic gearbox take € 200 (€ 9,599 and € 10,199 with ABS).

A shattering novelty of the brand (and of the year?), The RSV4 Factory (read our) has the good taste to keep its price – already sufficiently salty! – from 19,990 €, while the price of the R version (available in France in September for around 15,000 €), as well as its technical information is still poor

On the side of Moto Guzzi, the price differences vary depending on the model but appear measured across the entire range: the Griso 850, for example, only increases by € 15 (€ 11,450 against € 11,435). Less varnished, the Breva goes from € 10,035 to € 10,450 while the sympathetic Bellagio (read our) now exceeds the threshold of € 11,000 (€ 11,190 against € 10,999). As for the Stelvio 1200, this new big trail designed to go tease on their (all) terrain the BMW R 1200 GS, KTM 990 Adventure, Moto Morini 1200 Granpasso and other Honda XL 1000 Varadero, it is exchanged today for a ticket from 13 490 €.
