Yamaha GYTR Performance Products: competition parts for R1 and R6

To transform an R1 or R6 into a real track bike with quality high performance components, Yamaha offers Genuine Yamaha Technology Racing (GYTR) parts available in dealerships from April 2018.

Finding parts to modify your bike for an exclusive practice on the circuit is obvious: the Internet is full of poly fairings, remote footrests, shifter – in theory – universal or even electronic control units recalibrated to optimize the engine. But what about their quality, their compatibility and above all their reliability? ?

To avoid this kind of hassle, from next spring they will be marketing a new range "GYTR Performance Products" intended for and used only on the track. This list of equipment would be inspired by technologies developed in "the world endurance championship, the Suzuka 8 Hours and WorldSSP in 2017", says Yamaha.

 

"All GYTR Performance Products developed in-house take advantage of the advice of our sports teams," explains the Japanese manufacturer, who won the EWC Endurance title with the GMT94 R1, a few months before taking the world crown in Supersport with his . 

"Pilots of the YZF-R1 and YZF-R6 can have complete confidence in the quality, durability and performance of each GYTR component," continues the Iwata crest, which emphasizes equipment developed with its partners from long time like Ohlins and Akrapovic.
