The KTM 350 EXC-F does not make the intended 100-hour long-term test distance as fast as originally planned. To date, the Austrian has 67 hours on the operating hours counter. The reason: Both MOTORRAD editor Peter Mayer and the also offroad-savvy workshop manager Gerry Wagner had to take a break for most of the year with knee injuries.

After a jump, the plastic engine guard hit the ground and tore off the quick release. Since the part was fixed with a screw, the problem has been resolved. The disadvantage: In order to remove the dirt that has accumulated between the floor pan and the motor, the protector has to be unscrewed instead of clicked off before the steam jet is a little more laborious. The speedometer sensor cable, which was wrapped in a plastic sleeve and kinked after only ten hours of operation, also took the path of everything earthly.
