Top 10 in the Naked Bikes category
45,178 readers voted for their top 10 most popular motorcycles in the naked bikes category. We present you the results.
I.n the category "Naked bikes" For the past few years, the KTM 1290 Super Duke R has been enthroned. In 2020, a red will take over the scepter – the Ducati Streetfighter V4. It takes 12.4 percent of the readers’ votes. However, it does not appear in the new registration statistics – it is still too new for that. The KTM 1290 Super Duke R then ranks second in the top 10 readers’ poll. As in previous years, it won almost ten percent of the votes (9.7%).
8.2 percent approval is enough for the BMW R 1250 R for third place. In 2019 it landed in 4th place and its predecessor, the R 1200 R, in 2018 in second place. The Aprilia Tuono V4 1100, which came fourth this year, also played a role in the top ranks in the last readers’ poll. Behind the Italian follows in fifth place with the S 1000 R, the second BMW in the top 10 of the naked bikes. The Triumph Speed Triple draws level with the BMW, which is why the two motorcycles share fifth place. 4.6 percent of the readers who voted opted for these two naked bikes.
In addition to BMW, KTM also has two models in the top 10: the recently presented KTM 890 Duke R is in seventh place with four percent of the readers’ votes. Eighth place goes to the Indian FTR 1200, which took a brilliant second place last year. Behind them the Honda CB 1000 R rolls in ninth place with 3.2 percent of the readers’ votes. Tenth place goes to the Kawasaki Z 900 (2.9%). But it doesn’t have to be sad, because it is the most successful of the bikes listed here in the 2019 motorcycle new registration statistics. Here, with 3,139 newly registered units, it is in third place behind the Yamaha MT-07 and the BMW R 1250 GS.
