Naked bike with 208 hp already sold out

With the Brutale 1000 series Oro, MV Agusta makes the Brutale even more brutal. The new naked bike contains the up to 212 hp four-cylinder from the F4 RC superbike. Only 300 are to be built, but all of them have already been sold.

I.In the basic configuration, the 1,000 four-cylinder in the Brutale presented at EICMA 2018 brings 208 hp at 13,450 tours and 115.5 Nm to the start. If the racing engine control is installed together with the Titan-SC Project exhaust, then the unit should even reach 212 hp at 13,600 rpm.

Naked bike with winglets

Winglets grow on the radiator cowling.

The new Brutale remained true to its basic concept: The four-cylinder is in a steel tubular space frame with screwed-on aluminum plates that hold the rear frame and the swing arm. The swing arm itself is again a single-arm construction and now carries the license plate holder. The driver grips in new, sportier positioned steering stubs. An electronically controlled Ohlins fork is located in the triple clamped fork bridges. An Ohlins TTX36 shock absorber springs and dampens at the rear. The Swedes also contribute the steering damper.

The side winglets in MotoGP style, which grow out of the radiator cowling and are intended to provide noticeably more downforce at high speeds, are new. The front brake system relies on the new Brembo Stylema calipers, which bite into 320 discs.

Limited to 300 copies and already sold out

MV Agusta uses carbon rims for the gear train, and all trim parts are made of carbon fiber laminate. In addition, the Italians compose a lot of milled parts and a lithium-ion battery. A dry weight of 184 kilograms is given as the reward for the effort. In addition, the new Brutale uses an LED main headlight with LED daytime running lights, cornering lights and an LED rear light.

In the cockpit, a 5-inch TFT display with connectivity features ensures the flow of information to the driver and between smartphone and motorcycle. A handcrafted bench establishes contact between the pilot and the machine. The pillion seat can also be exchanged for a cover.

In terms of color, the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 Oro series relies on a matt, fire-red lacquer. Only 300 copies of the machine will be built. All come with the factory racing kit. The special series was offered at prices from 42,990 euros. Nevertheless, the golden MV was sold out just a few days after the order books were opened.
