Road rallies - 44th Beaujolais Rally: Manoel Delaval above the crowd! - Inductions, Tastevin and awards ...

Brilliant winner of this 4th round of the 2009 French Rally Championship, Delaval strengthens his lead over Maximus: the Buell XB 12 Central Team driver left nothing but crumbs to his pursuers by winning most of the specials. !

Inductions, Tastevin and awards…

At Beaujol ‘, the awards ceremony always has a ceremonial flavor: the first in each category are inducted and swear on Saint-Vincent to represent Beaujolais against all odds! A very nice moment when the winners drink the nectar of the hillsides in the giant tastevin which serves as their cup, offered by the Domaine des Maisons Neuves, which has hosted the rally for many years (see video opposite).

On the final podium of the rally, we therefore find Manoel Delaval the lap killer with his Buell XB 12 SS in first position ahead of Maxime Olivieri, the talented Corsican riding his KTM 690 SM, and Olivier Aubonnet, third with his Triumph 675 Street Triple.

In Topsport it is Pascal Leger, our national Doddy at the controls of a Triumph 675 Daytona, who pockets the third position behind Mano and Olive.

Among the Monos, Maxime Olivieri remains on the first step and it is Michael Pefaure, Goldspeed Site rider for the occasion on the handlebars of Sergei’s ex-motorcycle, the Yamaha 450 WR, who climbs on the second step while another Goldspeed Site rider, your servant Marc Troussard, occupies third place on the handlebars of his brilliant KTM 690 SMC Louit Motos / 2RTeam !

In the Sport category it is John Comoglio, well recovered from his heavy fall in Corsica, pilot of a Suzuki 650 SV, who wins the pompom ahead of Nicolas Champay also on Suzuki 650 SV and Nicolas Pautet, guest pilot of the Team Site, on its … Honda 500 CB! Gifted, the little one !

On the side-cars side, the Laurent Guillet / David Chanal crew on the Choda 1000 GSXR took first place ahead of Lebert / Jeandemange on the handlebars of a Yamaha 1100 FJ. Third place for the "kamasutresque" couple (see the spin on the second passage of Saint Bonnet …) at the controls of a Choda 1300 GSXR.

For the Classics, it is not a surprise to find Renaud Chanon in first place on the handlebars of his Honda 600 XLM in front of Gerard Spagli on Kawasaki Z1000 and Dominique Wils on Honda 600 XLR.

In short, Mano takes off in points at the head of the provisional Elite, but everything is still possible for Maximus! There is still a little jostling in the categories, the leaders are starting to be far away but the podiums are not yet made … So meet for the Rallye de l’Ain on June 6 and 7 in the famous village of Poncin … Stay connected !
