New Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory all electronic and new colors 2019
Absent from the 2018 Paris Motor Show, Aprilia is exhibiting on its stand at Intermot in Cologne (Germany) three small novelties for 2019: its Tuono Factory receives electronic Ohlins suspensions, its Tuono and RSV4 RR as well as its Shiver 900 are content with a brushstroke.
Revisited in 2017 at the same time as its sister RR, the Tuono V4 1100 Factory benefits from an update for 2019: equipped until now with prestigious Ohlins suspensions, Noale’s maxisportif Maxirodster goes electronic … With the fourth generation APRC and ABS on the Bosch angle, that’s the total for the "factory" Tuono !
"The new Factory now comes standard equipped with the most advanced semi-active electronic suspension system on the market", say the Italians, "developed by Ohlins and fine-tuned in collaboration with Aprilia engineers".

Like the Yamaha MT-10 SP, the Tuono V4 Factory allows its rider to select – via a handlebar control – two types of operation: manual or semi-active. Both offer three driving modes (Track, Sport or Road). The difference ? In manual mode, the settings are fixed – as on traditional suspensions – while in automatic mode, the ECU control unit operates continuously on the hydraulics of the fork and the shock absorber.
The 4-cylinder V at 65 ° does not change and still develops 175 horsepower and 121 Nm, enough to ferociously catapult the machine, the weight of which, when fully loaded, is finally communicated by the manufacturer: 209 kg in this Factory version. The brakes are also renewed (double 330 mm disc and Brembo M50 calipers in particular).
Alongside this "all electronic" Tuono V4 1100 Factory with the new "Superpole" decoration, Aprilia is also presenting new colors at the Cologne Intermot (but not at the Paris Motor Show …). The Tuono V4 1100 RR swaps its black "Assen" and its gray "Portimao" for a red "Sachsenring" and a gray "Magny-Cours".
Still in the sport department, the RSV4 RR is also adorned with new paints, both matt: "Rivazza" gray and "Arrabiata" black, with red rims. The only mechanical modification announced by Aprilia: a pair of new front discs 5 mm thick.
Finally, the Shiver 900, still available in A2 version, retains its "Hi-Tech" gray color but replaces its "Evolution" white and its matt green with a "Challenging" red and an "Innovation" black. The roadster also receives new "mutes" of silencers in the form of concentric rings. To see at Intermot … but, unfortunately.
