Small travel enduro from China

Those who ride a 125cc – or are limited to light motorcycles due to their age or driver’s license – do not have to do without the travel enduro feeling.

New registrations of 125cc motorcycles are going through the roof. Which of course encourages manufacturers to keep expanding their range. A British importer is now bringing a 125cc travel enduro onto the market. Sinnis Terrain 125 is the name of the light motorcycle and rolls out from China with a water-cooled 4-valve single-cylinder engine that develops 12.7 hp at 9,500 rpm and provides a maximum torque of 10.5 Nm at 7,500 rpm.

Side case as standard

The top speed is reached at 90 km / h, shifting is through six gears. 14 liters of fuel fit into the tank. With a seat height of 78 centimeters, the Sinnis Terrain 125 should also be something for smaller drivers. And even if long tours are not necessarily 125cc typical (so far), the small travel enduro comes with two side cases as standard. Together with the optional top case, there is a storage volume of 66.5 liters, of which 48 liters are on the account of the top case.

USB port in the cockpit

In the cockpit, a combination of an analog round instrument that shows the engine speed and a digital display that not only provides information about the speed but also the gear that is engaged provides information. The USB connection is located in the cockpit right next to the display.

At the front, a 100 / 80-17 tire rotates on a 10-spoke cast aluminum wheel in the telescopic fork of the Sinnis Terrain 125, while the 120 / 80-17 tire is mounted at the rear, while a shock absorber with adjustable spring preload provides the damping.

Price and colors

The 125cc travel enduro will be launched in the UK in April 2021. The Sinnis Terrain 125 will cost from £ 2,899 (excluding ancillary costs), which is around € 3,380, and will be available in white and red. It is not yet known whether it will eventually roll onto mainland Europe.

Conclusion

A lot is currently happening in the field of light motorcycles. Not only is there a choice between a naked bike or full fairing, the choice is growing rapidly. And thanks to the manufacturers, who now also offer 125cc travel enduros, a new way of being on the move may emerge. Unlike with the big cruise ships, but still on a motorcycle tour.
