Suzuki 1000 Katana S 2019

Menus

Suzuki has chosen his own path to go into neo-retro with his Katana. Closely derived from the 1000 GSX-S, it brings up to date one of the most unique models of the firm. With its 4-cylinder borrowed from an old-generation GSX-R 1000, it can become very unwise and run wild with its pilot.. An affirmation that she wants to capture in this S version.

No rush on the thirst for sport or overactive excitement. The Katana S doesn’t get any more drastic – no suspension upgrades or reworked engine. It is in the field of personalization that it is played, with the reinforcement of accessories. Exactly like the Jindachi version of the Italian market.
On the Suz, we take advantage of a screen a little more generous than the original element. It does not take its place but is grafted on top of it. Protections come to secure the tank then the identity is reinforced with a two-tone black and red saddle as well as protruding stickers on the sides of the fork crown.

We saved the best for last: an Akrapovic exhaust built with titanium and carbon. In addition to the more present sound that it will fuse, it brings a gain of almost 3 horsepower and 2.2 Nm. A saving of 1.1 kilograms is achieved. This Katana S can fetch and calm people with its cavalry exceeding 150 hp, its sporty chassis and its look from the 80s. The price is 500 euros higher than the standard 1000 Katana but Suzuki announces a customer benefit of 900 euros.
