Suzuki GSF 1250 Bandit S 2008

Menus

A great page of Suzuki engines is turning. With this new 1250, the big Bandit says goodbye to the famous SACS engine cooled by air and oil. Mechanics installed in 96 and derived from the 1100 of the GSX-R of … 1986. For 2007, and pass the Euro 3 standards, the GSF 1200 goes up in displacement and above all adopts liquid cooling as well as injection. A new stage for the Bandits.

98 cm3 more. With this displacement contribution, the block rises to 1255 cm3 by increasing the stroke of the pistons. With the help of injection and a new 6-speed gearbox, the 4-cylinder will certainly be even fuller and more powerful at all speeds. Cleaner also with its system of injection of fresh air to the exhaust, itself catalyzed.

This liquid engine is THE big change for the Bandit for 2007. For the rest, the bike hardly evolves. Same design (except the vanes of the engine which have disappeared), same chassis, same geometry. The weight shows an increase of 10 kgs, attributable to the engine and the frame. The tubes of the latter have increased in diameter for the benefit of rigidity, increased by 10%. The 2007 Bandit takes weight, cm3, its saddle (adjustable to 790 or 810 mm) is raised by 5 mm; and on the speed side, let us quote the tank amputated by a liter of capacity. ABS remains available as an option. The little bandit also switches to liquid cooling while retaining its style and its 650 cm3.
