Suzuki LC 1500 INTRUDER 1999

Menus

Towards the end of the 20th century, during the massive craze for custom, Suzuki threw itself into the big battle with the 1500 Intruder. Mechanically derived from the 1400, still with its type of engine cooled by air and oil and its cardan transmission, this beautiful beast is distinguished by its more typical low rider definition.. Big wheels, imposing aesthetics, respectable comfort … this machine is clearly inspired by Milwaukee roads, and more particularly by the Harley-Davidson Road King. Destination the road. Preferably long, in order to benefit from its full twin at all speeds without being really powerful. The general comfort already present can be enhanced by the adoption of optional saddlebags and windshields. The machine is also more suited for the road than for small roads. A weight greater than 300 kgs and a heavy steering at low speed do not facilitate the task in small evolutions. Its other big flaw is its autonomy. The twin-cylinder consumes a lot and the tank does not contain enough fuel to water it on long stages. The bike is properly equipped, brakes well, but its gearbox is not the best we can find. The shocking argument of the intruder 1500 is its attractive price; In fact, it’s the cheapest big custom in its class..
