Suzuki SVS 650 1999

A true little sportswoman in the making, the SVS is a delight for its pilots and small roads. Its affordable price is only a small part of its success. The SV exists in 2 versions: N for lovers of the round headlight, S for pilots. Besides its “small TLS” aspect, there is this fine and nicely drawn silhouette, its tubular trellis frame and especially its engine.. A real treat that this twin suzuki. Its small character does not prevent it from being flexible, and particularly more expressive than the 4-cylinder roadsters in the category. Its 70 nags can seem right in front of the 95 of a Fazer or a Hornet. Nay! The motorcycle tows much more efficiently than its competitors at mid-revs, then the twin-cylinder sets off with rage to attack the red zone. A twin of this displacement with such an extension, we do not meet many. A real enchantment wonderfully seconded by the chassis. The machine is a real bicycle. One look and she dives to the rope. Sensations, vivacity and playful temperament … What a cocktail! Particularly light which partly explains its agility, the bike brakes very well – we can hardly criticize a fork that is a little flexible in hydraulics, suspensions a bit dry and a lack of bite on the discs. The equipment is quite small, although the dashboard is rather classy with its counters embedded in an imitation carbon block. The passenger sits high enough, not necessarily the best of what can be done, but the padding of the saddle is convincing. In fact, we quibble because the SVS is a great machine, almost a sports school offering a driving pleasure close to the fantastic.
