Tried the Tirax / Wilbar Stelvio tool bag

Tirax / Wilbar Stelvio
Tool bag for on the go

A tool bag that fits under the seat or in the backpack should be part of the standard touring equipment of every motorcyclist. We tried the Wilbar Stelvio.

Sure, nothing should go wrong on the trip. After all, the bike is freshly serviced and well cared for. But sometimes things turn out differently, as is well known. If the worst comes to the worst, you’re happy to have dragged the ballast of wrenches and co. Especially when it is a well-stocked set for motorcyclists like the one from Wilbar, the motorcycle brand of the world’s leading manufacturer of extractor tools, Kukko.

Well-assorted tools

The 46-piece set is well sorted.

The Westphalia company sells the compact tool bag called Stelvio under the additional Tirax brand. The 46-piece set not only offers the usual suspects such as the quarter-inch plug-in handle with eight Torx, nine slotted, Phillips and hexagon socket bits, combination pliers and cable ties. But also a high-quality, seven-part multi-profile socket wrench set plus ratchet and extension. The latter even offers the option of slightly twisting the socket in order to reach screws that are difficult to access.

Also useful: the equipment with a bright LED torch (including batteries), folding knife, test lamp for 6 to 24 volts, special grease, universal Bowden cable, binding wire, electric cable (two meters) and insulating tape.

MOTORCYCLE check

MOTORRAD awards 4 out of 5 stars.

  • The equipment, the workmanship and the pack size made a positive impression
  • What was noticed negatively was that the tool slipped and partially slid out of the holders

The Wilbar tool bag is available for 79.80 euros.
