Triumph 1200 TIGER EXPLORER XC 2014

Menus

Very serious competitor of the BMW 1200 GS, the Triumph Explorer is coupled with an XC version. Like the little brothers 800 which are available in two formats, the big trail of Hinckley intends to broaden its field of action. What does this episode augur? A version more tailored for adventure, quite simply.

The most significant change is the adoption of spoke rims. The sizes of 19 and 17 inches are kept, in order to promote the specific pleasure and efficiency of the 1200 Explorer. On the other hand, it will be able to allow itself excursions in more uneven ground than its standard use. Suspension travel remains the same as the standard Explorer.
Some accessories fitted as standard enhance the comfort and the adventurer side: a set of hand guards, additional fog lights, an aluminum engine guard, and side tubular steel protections 22 mm in diameter. By drawing in the catalog, you can add about fifty other accessories.

In this Cross Country version, the 1200 Tiger Explorer raises its claims. With its big 3 cylinders, its cardan shaft, its on-board electronics (traction control, disconnectable ABS, cruise control) and its dynamic capacities, the English trail GT had already made a strong impression. This XC will appeal to more seasoned enthusiasts, with a barely hidden desire to compete with the R 1200 GS Adventure.
