More nasty, the new 865 Speedmaster could easily be eaten by the 883 Iron. The small custom Triumph receives fine evolutions for 2011, and suddenly becomes darker, almost surly while being more accessible. The fork has got rid of its over-trimming and blackened its sheaths, the front rim grows from 18 to 19 inches while taking care to modify its sticks, the rear fender is cut straight off with a scythe, and technically , the wheelbase loses 55 mm, which should make the custom easier to engage. If the look becomes more aggressive, it is the other way around for life on board. With a lower seat (690 mm) and a new wider handlebars, the riding position improves in comfort. Like its cousins America and Bonneville, the machine marks its difference from traditional customs with its 865 cm3 parallel twin set at 270 °. Its 61 horses allow it to cruise in peace on the boulevards. IF you are looking for nastier, Triumph is also releasing in 2011 twice the size and two more expensive: the 1700 Thunderbird Storm.
