After the Roadster, friendly and playful, Voxan lets go with the Cafe-racer. Mixtures of curves in a “post-modern 60s style projected in the year 2000”, the design surprises, shocks, confuses, leaves no one indifferent and shares opinions. The chassis is that of the Roadster with some subtle changes: the gear ratio is longer, which affects performance a little, and the wheelbase is lengthened. Suddenly, the Cafe-racer is a bit less agile than the Roadster, for the benefit of a more pronounced stability. The Voxan engine reinforces the identity of this unashamedly conceptual machine. A 72 ° twin full of torque and good humor, as flexible as it is powerful. On board, we oscillate between comfort and sport – the protection is correct up to 160, the saddle is generous in foam but narrow and unwelcoming for the passenger. If the look inspires the sport of yesteryear, the driving position is that of today’s sports cars, with a clearly pronounced support on the wrists.

Forget about luggage and some practicalities. The oddly shaped tank is surmounted by a pretty cap unfortunately without a hinge. No clock and a single partial lost in an all analogue dashboard. You will go so far as to curse on the turning radius … and you will forget all that by letting yourself be intoxicated by the behavior of the machine. The suspensions work efficiently without forgetting the comfort, and the braking offers a good feeling associated with a progressive bite doubled in efficiency. The finish is nickel, of a much better level than on the Roadster. With muscle, timeless charm, quality and the “French touch”, the Cafe-racer has the power to make those who drive it as much as those who envy it..
