Driver’s license bonus and free accessories

Yamaha has announced prices for the 2018 model range. There are hardly any major changes, with only 14 out of 51 models having their prices increased compared to 2017. In addition, there is now a driver’s license bonus and free accessories.

The most popular Yamaha motorcycle in 2017 was the MT-07. In the new registration charts, it is also right behind the large GS in second place. Last year it was listed with a new price of 6,695 euros, for the 2018 model year it is 6,795 euros.

The following updates are available for 2018-MT-07: redesigned headlights, new tank with large air scoops, better seat and new parts on the side panels. In addition, the telescopic fork has been redesigned (130 millimeters of travel) and the rebound stage of the shock absorber can now be adjusted. the Yamaha MT-07 is available in 2018 in the colors Night Fluo, Yamaha Blue and Tech Black.

Until June 30th (approval), Yamaha attracts new buyers with free accessories. The promotion applies to the models YZF-R1, YZF-R6, XSR 700, XSR 900, SCR 950 or Tracer 700 (model 2017). Here, buyers can choose original accessories worth one euro per cubic centimeter of displacement of the new vehicle free of charge.

But Yamaha also wants to attract new drivers. For those new to A1 driving licenses, the YZF-R125 and MT-125 receive a subsidy of 250 euros and a four-year factory guarantee. If you take your A2 driving license and opt for the MT-07, you will receive 500 euros for passing the test.

Premium version Yamaha MT-09 SP for 10,195 euros

The new Yamaha MT-09 SP celebrates its premiere in 2018 and costs 10,195 euros. As a premium version, it is 1,200 euros above the base MT-09, which in turn keeps its 2017 price at 8,995 euros. The Yamaha MT-10 will be 200 euros more expensive for the 2018 model year and now costs 13,895 euros. The MT-10 Tourer Edition is experiencing the same price increase, which is now 14,995 euros. The premium version MT-10 SP leaves it at a respectable 16,495 euros.

In the heritage area, the price of the Yamaha XSR 700 alone is increasing: 100 euros more, i.e. 7,695 euros in the 2018 model year, changes were only made to the mapping, exhaust and intake tract. With “Brilliant Red” a color variant has been added to black and gray.

Yamaha Tracer 900 GT costs 12,195 euros

There are also innovations for the sports tourers: The Yamaha Tracer 900 is 300 euros more expensive at 10,595 euros. The reasons are the larger, manually height-adjustable windshield, the height-adjustable bench seat, new handles and better positioned pillion footrests as well as a longer aluminum swing arm in combination with a newly tuned shock absorber, which should provide even more touring comfort. The completely new model variant, the Yamaha Tracer 900 GT, is priced at 12,195 euros. It rolls up fully equipped with two hard-shell suitcases, each with a capacity of 22 liters, fully adjustable fork, spring strut with hydraulic spring preload, automatic gearshift and cruise control as well as a colored TFT display and heated grips.
The price for the Yamaha YZF-R1M is increased by 200 euros to 23,995 euros, which is probably due to the improved automatic gearshift, the new engine control unit and the newly designed carbon panel.

Tracer 700 currently with a free comfort package

If you are interested in a Yamaha Tracer 700, you currently have the opportunity to save a little. The Japanese manufacturer is currently giving all buyers of the adventure bike the comfort package free of charge. The package consists of a higher windshield, a more comfortable seat and heated grips including an adapter kit worth a total of 575 euros. The offer is valid until April 30, 2018 and only while stocks last. Another requirement is that the vehicle must be registered by April 30, 2018.

Anyone who buys a new Yamaha MT-07, a YZF-R 125 or an MT-125 receives a “Young Star Promotion” a driver’s license grant. With the 125s it runs to 250 euros, with the MT-07 to 500 euros. The grant is granted to those who take or have obtained their driver’s license between July 1st, 2017 and June 30th, 2018 and decide to buy a new vehicle. The promotion ends on June 30th, 2018 and requires the vehicle to be registered by this date.

Yamaha Niken not yet priced in

The price for the Yamaha Niken has not yet been fixed, but the “Leaning Multi-Wheeler” is already on the 2018 price list for Yamaha motorcycles. Unfortunately not the Yamaha 700 Tenere World Raid yet, it is still cautiously referred to as a prototype by the manufacturer.

The biggest price increase is in the competition motorcycles category: the Yamaha YZ 450 F is raised by 700 euros to 9,250 euros. But in the model year it also rolls out comprehensively with a facelift and finally with an electric starter. In addition, there is a new frame, higher compression, reinforced clutch, throttle valve housing from Mikuni instead of Keihin and a cylinder that is tilted backwards by 6.2 degrees instead of 8.2 degrees. In addition, the YZ 450 F is the first off-roader in which the engine control can be accessed via a mobile phone app (Power Tuner App). Five other competition motorcycles will also experience price adjustments, which, however, range between 100 and 245 euros.
