Yamaha 600 FAZER FZS 1998

A real success that the Fazer. Behind its somewhat versatile aesthetic hides a motorcycle of rare versatility. The engine is that of the sports Thundercat but revised at the level of the cylinder head, camshafts and carbs. Remarkably designed, this mid-capacity roadster can do it all. The races in town, the arsouille on weekends, the circuit on Sunday. The FZS is as comfortable in urban areas as it is on mountain roads, titillating Magny-cours in the morning and Grenoble-Marseille in the afternoon. Machine with many faces, its design is however nothing extraordinary: A 4-cylinder engine outputting 95 hp installed in a classic double-cradle steel frame. Yes, but add some torque past 4000 rpm, good suspension, comfort, a protective fork crown, a center stand, brakes derived from those of the R1, and you have the best selling big cubes. And at less than 5 bricks, the fazer gives you what you pay for. Such a combination of talents is not often found.
