Yamaha XTZ 1200 Worldcrosser 2012

Reason for being or for appearing? Still, the Yamaha 1200 Super Tenere wants adventure under its offices of big road trail. With an asphaltic travel trend and not really enduro, the Super T knows how to satisfy the rider and the dreamer, but it aspires to more. Thus was born the idea of the World Crosser: a prototype with a more marked trend, and which is now on the market.

From the 1200 XTZ to the WorldCrosser, the engine and the chassis are identical. It is on a series of equipment and a more protective profile that the difference is obvious.
On this machine, the fairing sides are made of carbon, as is a set of protections for the frame and the lower forks. The rear brake, the chassis and the driveshaft gain black anodized aluminum protection plates. A graphics kit underlines the more reckless inclination of the Worlcrosser. But to complete the panoply, a small detour via the options box will be necessary to add additional headlights and nipple tires; plus the Akrapovic pot visible in the photos.

Would this Worldcrosser come to challenge the R 1200 GS Adventure or the Touratech preparations? Not really. He suggests going a little further into the pebbles at the detours of long-distance hikes. But the form is there: take a good look, and dare to say that you do not want to go crack a stretch of road on the side of the Atlas ?!?
