Like the R1 WGP 50th anniversary, its decoration is based on that of the first grand prix Yamaha. More precisely, this R1 is faithful to the dress of the OW23, machine which offered the title 500 to Agostini in 1975.
The advantages of this R1 ‘Ago’: a superb decoration evoking the glory of a motorcycle god, two Akrapovic silencers, special parts and an AGV Ago replica helmet included in the set, and the signature of Giacomo himself on the tank . And above all, it is a unique copy serving a good work.
In 2010, there was already an operation of this type for the association “Riders for health”, where a Rossi edition R1 was auctioned in Los Angeles. This time it’s in Sweden. The bike will go on sale February 12-26, 2012 at 3 p.m. on BVA-Automotive, the country’s largest online auction site. The money raised will be donated to the Papageno Foundation, which deals with music therapy for children with autism.
