Ana Carrasco, first woman to win in world motorcycle speed
Yesterday at the World Superbike in Portimao (Portugal), Ana Carrasco clinched her first victory in the new Supersport 300 category. She completes a full card for Kawasaki (in 300, 600 and 1000 cc) but above all becomes the first woman to win a world-class motorcycle speed test !
A young 20-year-old Spanish rider wrote a page of history – of the motorbike – yesterday on the Portimao circuit, on the occasion of the tenth round of the WorldSBK 2017. Let us note in passing that the Ninja n ° 2 offers an additional victory to Kawasaki. This weekend, the Akashi manufacturer finally won in all WorldSBK disciplines: in Superbike with Jonathan Rea – -, in Supersport with Kenan Sofuoglu and in Superstock with Toprak Razgatlioglu !
Ana Carrasco, Kawasaki n ° 2:
"I am really happy with this result. I want to share it with my whole team. We have worked very hard and we have improved in every race. I am delighted and I want to thank everyone, as well as my sponsors, without whom nothing would have been possible ".
