How motorcycle endurance riders view the Estoril circuit ?
The Portuguese circuit, which has not hosted a world endurance race since 2000, receives on September 26 the 12H of Estoril, new final of the EWC world endurance championship following the cancellation of the Bol d ‘Gold. Memories of Moto2 and Moto3 riders.
Mike di Meglio, F.C.C. TSR Honda France (Moto2 in 2012)
"It’s a very technical circuit. There are key places to make the difference and an alternation of very slow and faster parts. It’s going to be a complicated circuit for overtaking but I really enjoy this track because there is a lot of rhythm and you don’t get bored riding your bike ".

Louis Rossi, ERC Endurance Ducati (Moto3 in 2012)
"I have a lot of memories in Estoril. This is the circuit where I did my very first GP 125 with the French team in 2007. In 2012 I was in Moto3. I really like this circuit on which I’ve always been fast. There are quite a few tricky and technical places, like the very small chicane uphill until the exit of the last corner. Among the fast corners there is the break before the straight line. She went all out in Moto3, but I’m not sure that with the 1000cc it will be that easy. In any case, I think it will be a very good race! "
Xavier Simeon, Suzuki Endurance Racing Team (Moto2 in 2012)
"It’s a pretty physical circuit and with all the styles of turns, big braking, little hairpins and quick corners. I still liked it quite well at the time, but for endurance it will be a very demanding race ".
Gino Rea, Wójcik Racing Team (Moto2 in 2012)
"I haven’t ridden Estoril since 2012, so it will be like a new circuit for me … especially with a Superbike! But I am very impatient, it is a very particular and winding circuit with a lot of changes of angles and fast and slow turns of different radii. It will be essential to have a manoeuvrable motorcycle for the 12 hours of racing, otherwise it will be physically difficult. It is interesting to race on a circuit where no team has any team. experience. It puts everyone at the same level at the start of the week. I’m sure we will enjoy this final on a new circuit. ".
Roberto Rolfo – Moto Ain (Moto2 in 2012)
"I like Estoril a lot because it’s an old-fashioned circuit with slow and fast corners. I did my first GP there in 250 in 2001 and my last season in Moto2 in 2012. The track didn’t There is a very slow turn which looks strange but is very nice and very spectacular to look at from the outside. The circuit and the region are really cool! I love Portugal for its natural and calm character, it is the best place to find concentration for the last race of the season. I am very happy to be going back. ".
