Newcomers of 2007: 20 bikes to watch

In Milan, the Shiver was the star of the Aprilia stand. A crisp naked bike with a beautiful space frame that literally screams for winding country roads.

The handiness of the SL 750 Shiver is written all over its face – with it Aprilia is entering the middle class for the first time. With the top-class 90-degree V2 engine, one should rather speak of a technical upper class. The completely newly developed 750 cc twin delivers an impressive 95 hp at 9000 rpm.
And because the rest of the ingredients are also top-notch – USD forks, radial brake calipers or OZ-style wheels – the Shiver should also be a star on the road at a price of around 8,000 euros. Unfortunately, however, delivery does not begin until summer – and then only in Italy. It may even be winter before the brisk Italian can get under her wheels on German asphalt. Brrrr!
