Aprilia SRV 850 ABS / ATC in the driving report
Scooter with ABS and traction control
The powerful Aprilia SRV 850 ABS / ATC is fun in itself. Thanks to ABS and traction control, trips with it are now even safer.
There is a certain attraction to riding a scooter that is stronger than some mid-range bikes. And for example using it to wet a Honda NC 700 S in a drag race. Good that A.prilia SRV 850 ABS / ATC has almost 30 hp more, you say. But it also weighs almost 70 kg more, as much as a slim pillion passenger. In any case, the fact is: After 5.9 seconds, the speedometer shows 100 km / h.
Aprilia SRV 850 ABS / ATC: almost 200 km / h fast
If you let go of the gas, the Aprilia SRV 850 ABS / ATC almost cracks the 200 km / h limit. It is no coincidence that the front looks like the ardent Supersport sister RSV4. And the 850 scooter, which is actually an 839, is based on it, also in terms of electronics. One expects ABS in this displacement and price range anyway, traction control not necessarily. The ATC (Aprilia Traction Control) can be regulated by the pilot himself: normal, sport or off.
It is extremely suitable on slippery asphalt and unpaved roads. Without, the rear wheel throws loose ground around wildly, with the ATC switched on, the Aprilia SRV 850 ABS / ATC starts moving quickly. In order to move the electronics to work in the sport mode, however, a rather daring driving style is required. Which the sporty suspension setup easily copes with. The main stand on the left sets a limit if the incline is too severe. However, hardly any seem to be set for driving fun.

Looks grown up. However, it needs a lot of maintenance unnecessarily: The final drive by chain is rather unusual for scooters.
