For the conversion, 2Loud uses the 255 cubic single from Haoyue. Since the frame and engine are based on almost the same Honda technology from the 1980s, the new engine simply fits into the Sym frame.

Sym Wolf 150 conversion
China Wolf becomes a Taiwan tracker
2Loud Customs from distant Taiwan are masters of their trade and light tracker conversions have done the two makers. With a Sym Wolf 150 they show the peculiarities of Asian license building.

- Conclusion
Current wisdom from leaders, managers and what they are all called is: “Listen to the people and meetings that are the quietest.” This was also the case this morning at the editorial conference. The introduction of the 2Loud Customs Sym conversion leads from an otherwise silent microphone to a joyful sigh. My colleague Dervisevic seems to have been hit directly in the endorphin center by the little tracker. Means: we have to do it. We like to do it.
2Loud Customs
Max, the man behind 2Loud Customs, has his workshop in distant Taipei and was once named Taiwan’s best tin maker. So he, Max, can do metal and proves it in his latest work Base of a Sym Wolf 150. Air-cooled stew with 149 cubic and brave 15 hp at 9,000 and and 12 Nm at 8,500 revolutions. Nice and classic in a double loop frame made of steel with tubular swing arm, small tank and spoked wheels. Not classic enough for the owner, he has clear requirements for Max and partner Lu: brown seat, black tank, Ritter Sport studded tires. For the rest, he relies on 2Loud Customs.
Free hand, new engine
If you already have a free hand, you can also install a new engine right away. 2Loud know about the peculiarity of the Sym frame: It is based on the old CG frame from Honda with its mounting points of the engine. Accordingly, a Chinese single-cylinder from Haoyue with 255 cubic meters and the characteristic cooling fins on the cylinder head and valve cover also fits. The four-valve engine with its six gears is ventilated by an FCR33 flat slide carburetor with an accelerator pump from Keihin. On the other side of the cylinder head, a stainless steel exhaust system from 2Loud ensures gas flow and sound: The Sym can now pack 140 things.

Spoked wheels and studded tires
The Ritter Sport tires, called Choc-Bloc-Tires in English, with the square stud profile come from Shinko and are mounted on new spoke wheels measuring 19 inches at the front and 18 inches at the rear. The standard drum brake in the swing arm decelerates, while a milled adapter is used to axially mount a Frando brake caliper on the original fork.
Brown seat, black tank
After 33 percent of the requirements are met with studded tires, the seat and tank remain on the list. One thing is clear: Original doesn’t work at all. So 2Loud easily adapt the tank of a Honda CB 350 to the Sym frame and reshape the rear frame with a kicked-up loop. In the new frame they place the electrics as well as the lithium-ion battery developed especially for the conversions for 2Loud, which is only a good five centimeters thick. On top of the electrical box, Max and Lu tailor a short, brown bench seat – as requested – which is closed off at the rear by a short steel fender and lighting.

Many are beautiful, but also impassable.
Better to leave it in its original condition.
Conclusion
My colleague Dervisevic and her good taste are not wrong with 2Loud Customs either. A great conversion on a simple basis that looks bigger than it probably is. Single cylinders always work anyway and the author still has an XL 500 R from Honda in the garage. Inspiration is there.
