Allow me, Rossi!

Helmet manufacturer AGV is issuing exclusive special series of six helmets with special decorations that Valentino Rossi wore on special occasions.

Valentino Rossi is known for changing his helmet design often. Il Dottore often adapts the look of his headgear to a specific occasion. AGV As the helmet outfitter of the MotoGP rider, he takes advantage of this diversity and has launched a small special model series of the carbon racing helmet AGV Pista GP RR. The 46th copy remains with Valentino Rossi and is kept in his private collection.

A total of six different special decors are to be included. Three of them have already been presented. Each helmet is delivered in its own package containing a letter from Valentino Rossi. In it, he talks personally about the ideas that led to the creation of the graphic, as well as the memories and feelings of the race in which he wore them.

World champion helmet

The Limited Edition World Title 2003, of course, celebrates this. To celebrate his fifth MotoGP title, Rossi wore a helmet with this graphic on his lap of honor at the 2003 Malaysian Grand Prix. It was his ninth win in a terrific season, which he finished in second place with almost 100 points ahead of the driver. For the first time, the 46 gives way to the winner’s number 1, attached to a firmament with the 5 world champion stars and the obligatory Soleluna (sun and moon) motif in a new ethnic version. A livery that has never been worn afterwards and has never been used for a series helmet before.

The replica helmet is produced in an edition of 2003 copies. It is available at a price of 1,600 euros.

Winter test helmet

Winter Test 2005 is the name of the second limited edition. It is inspired by the famous Dash logo and is dedicated to the Dottore’s incredible victory in the 2004 season – his first on the Yamaha M1 in MotoGP and his sixth world championship win overall. This decor was only worn by Rossi during winter tests and never in an official race, and it has never appeared on a series helmet.

The Winter Test 2005 edition is limited to 2,500 copies. Here, too, the price is 1,600 euros.

Kenny Roberts USA Tribute Helmet

In 2005 Valentino Rossi competed on the slopes in Laguna Seca for the first time. The US Grand Prix coincided with the 50th anniversary celebrations for Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Yamaha. Reason enough for Rossi to wear a new design, which AGV is now offering as a Limited Edition Laguna Seca 2005. As part of the yellow and black graphic, which is inspired by the mythical design of the American Yamahas of the 70s and 80s made famous by Kenny Roberts, the iconic Soleluna motif stands out in a new and very special version. Next to Vale’s start number 46 there is a 1, the number that is exclusively reserved for the world champion. A title that Rossi won again in 2005.

This helmet, too, is only produced in an edition of 2,005 copies and AGV is also calling for a price of 1,600 euros.

The three Rossi special helmets already presented will be followed by three more. With which decorations? We are excited.
