800 Enduro, 1000 Quad and 1200 Super Tourer

The Chinese two-wheeler manufacturer Qianjiang is working as the parent company of Benelli on the expansion of the model range. Among other things, a 600 model family with naked bikes and athletes as well as an 800 enduro and a 1200 supertourer are to come. A 1,000 with an MV engine is also coming.

The model range is currently limited to B.enelli on motorcycles that were knitted around two-cylinder in-line engines. The displacement range from 300 to 752 cm³, the power spread from 38 to 82 hp. Naked bikes, a power cruiser, enduros and scramblers are available.

The QJiang 600 SRG, ready for series production, which will bear the Benelli badge in Europe. In a planning document revealed in January, it was named "600RR" designated.

Benelli has now rolled out its future timetable at the CIMA motorcycle trade fair in China. A timeline for Benelli shows a larger Enduro with the new 800 twin-cylinder engine from the Leoncino for 2020, which is to come as the TRK 800. A TNT 302 is also planned, which should be based on the BN 302. In between there are two 250 models, which are probably only intended for the Asian market. Further models around the two-cylinder engine family with 400, 700 and 900 cm³ displacement have also been announced. The old three-cylinder Benelli is also to be revived and compete as the 900 and 1,200 cc. The TNT899 is named as a specific model.

Benelli four-cylinder models

The upcoming models, which are knitted around a 600 in-line four-cylinder – probably a further developed version from the BN 600i – sound particularly delicious. The timetable here provides for an N, an RR and a GT model. N should stand for a classic Nakes bike, RR gives hope for a super athlete and GT for a tourist variant.

The QR SRK 600 will most likely also be available in Europe – under the Benelli flag as the successor to the TNT 600i.

Everything points to the fact that the SRK 600 will roll out as Benelli in Europe. Among other things, the Benelli logo has already been seen in a Chinese video on the TFT display, which lights up when switched on with the keyless ignition. The successor to the Benelli TNT 600i has already been presented in China – as the QJ SRK 600. The four-cylinder will provide around 80 hp. The 600 will soon be followed by a 650 in-line four-cylinder and an in-line four with a displacement of 1,000 cc. The 650 will be a further development of the current 600, the Thousand should be a license production of the old MV Agusta F4 engine.

The 1,200-cc super tourer is aimed directly at the new BMW R1250 RT.

In addition, Qianjiang is building the new entry-level Harley named 338 for Harley-Davidson on the basis of the Benelli 302S. But the real hammer comes with a 1200 super tourer, which is probably aimed directly at the new BMW R1250 RT. The first data on this come from type approval documents in China. The new Big Bike is based on the technology of the old Benelli Tre three-cylinder models with a displacement of 1,130 cm³. The triple is revised to increase to just over 1.2 liters displacement and bring a good 135 hp to the start, which make the ready-to-drive almost 340 kilogram tourer a good 220 km / h.

The first images that appeared in China show a wide, towering full paneling as well as a case system including a top case. A USD fork with a double disc brake system works at the front. At the rear, the swing arm from the old Tre models seems to be installed. A conventional chain obviously takes over the final drive for the 190 slipper. On earlier design sketches for the patent application, which also identify the big bike as a coming government agency, a cardan was still visible here.
