Leather clothing with too much chrome
BMW Motorrad is recalling the men’s and women’s Club leather jacket and the DownTown glove across Europe. There could be too much chrome in the leather.

BMW Motorrad is expanding its recall of motorcycle leather clothing. So far, only the Down Town gloves and the men’s Club Leather jacket in size M have been affected. To be on the safe side, all sizes and the corresponding women’s model of the jacket are now being withdrawn from circulation.
The recall is thus expanding across Europe and now includes the Club Leather Men jacket in all sizes (part numbers 76129899222 to 76129899227), the Club Leather Women jacket also in all sizes (part numbers 76129899228 to 76129899234) as well as all sizes of the DownTown glove (part number 76218560843 to 76218560849).

BMW Motorrad is now expanding the Europe-wide recall of leather clothing to include the Club Leather women’s jacket in all sizes. Reason: There could be too much chrome VI in the leather.
Chromium VI values too high
The district administration office relies on a random test of the jacket and gloves of a supplier by the Veterinary Investigation Office Rhein-Ruhr-Wupper, in which chromium VI was detected above the legally standardized limit. Chromium VI can cause allergic reactions in some individuals. BMW itself regularly tests its leather lifestyle products for chrome VI and has so far not found any abnormalities.

The owners are asked to remove any affected garments when BMW motorcycle To give back to dealer. Regardless of age, affected items can be exchanged for an equivalent BMW Motorrad product.
