Communication system provider Cardo has teamed up with the hi-fi specialists from JBL in order to be able to offer motorcyclists high-end audio enjoyment under the helmet shell.

As a result of the cooperation between the two companies, motorcyclists should be able to look forward to a first-class sound experience under their helmets from the beginning of 2019.

JBL, a subsidiary of the audio specialist Harman, has optimized the loudspeakers used for Cardo and, above all, developed the corresponding software for sound modulation.

Retrofitting possible via update

From 2019, all Cardo Packtalk systems are to be equipped with the sound optimized by JBL. Update packages will be available for older Cardo systems so that they too can enjoy the better sound. Prices for the new systems and the update packages have not yet been announced.

A first static audio sample at INTERMOT provided a really respectable sound experience. MOTORRAD will soon try out what the system can do in dynamic use on the road.
