The many aluminum components milled from solid make the Confederate Hellcat Speedster an eye-catcher. But also expensive, because it costs almost 50,000 euros.

Just 11.3 liters of fuel fit into the dynamically shaped tank. But the Confederate Hellcat Speedster is not intended as a long-distance mobile anyway.

Even cooler than the previous models: the new Confederate Hellcat Speedster with its circular LED headlights and the puristic line looks powerful and elegant at the same time.

Tom Cruise has one, as does David Beckham: The Hellcat from the US forge Confederate is very popular with celebrities. Now the sensational Confederate Hellcat Speedster comes in small series.
Every child knows Harley-Davidson in the far north of the USA. Another motorcycle manufacturer from the United States is more familiar to experts, namely Confederate from Alabama in the deep south. This company has been forging exotic luxury motorcycles by hand for around 20 years. With the C.The manufacturer recently presented a new model onfederate Hellcat Speedster.

Confederate Hellcat Speedster
65 pieces, $ 65,000
Hellcat Speedster is now preparing its first plant for the southerners.
2163 cc, 121 hp and torque of 190 Newton meters
As with the previous Hellcats, the air-cooled V2 from the US engine manufacturer S serves as the drive&S with a full 2163 cc, 121 hp and an enormous torque of 190 Newton meters. Terblanche completely redesigned cylinders, heads and valve covers, and the Confederate Hellcat Speedster got a different, more dynamic geometry. The new saddle and the slightly forward footrests make the Speedster more comfortable. The narrow tank, which, like the rims and the minimalist fenders, is made of carbon, creates a bold line.
The motor housing milled from solid is unique worldwide, even in small series. Many other aluminum parts are made in the same way by hand, from the headlights to the valve covers and filters to the swingarm and license plate holder, which makes the Confederate Hellcat Speedster shimmer and shine. But it retains its robust character; It is now underlined by the new, ultra-thick 240 mm rear tire that Metzeler has contributed to the total work of art.

There is also technical news, because Terblanche donated the Confederate Hellcat Speedster an adjustable WP fork; at the rear a mono-shock absorber from Race-Tech works. The Beringer brakes now also decelerate at the rear with a powerful four-piston caliper. Interesting: The mounting of the license plate holder runs exactly through the rear brake caliper.
Production of the Confederate Hellcat Speedster is scheduled to start in September, 65 units are planned for a price of 65,000 dollars (around 49,000 euros). It seems questionable, however, whether the Speedster will ever come to Europe, because with the loud V2 thunderstorm of its air-cooled engine, it is likely to fail due to the local homologation regulations. But we will definitely see her again – even if it is just under the bum of one or the other Hollywood celebrity.

Interview with Pierre Terblanche
Cathcart
Developer and designer Pierre Terblanche (57) on the Confederate Hellcat Speedster and his new home Alabama.
How long did the development take?
Almost a year. Only three people work here on development and design, and until two months ago there were only two of us. But that’s normal, after all, Confederate only has 14 employees.
Which materials determine the Confederate Hellcat Speedster?
The best money can buy! The motor housing, for example, is milled from a huge block of 6061 aluminum, and the frame is welded from seamless steel.
You worked in Europe for a long time, especially in Italy. Why this jump to the USA now, and to Confederate of all places with its extreme bikes?
I thought it was just time for a change in both work and lifestyle. Confederate appealed to me because theoretically you can design anything here, as wild and wacky as you want.
Is the lifestyle in the USA really so different from that in Europe??
Yes, we are here in the deep south. It’s more like South Africa, where I grew up: it’s warm all year round, the people are super friendly, the food is good. However, my new colleagues asked me straight away which rifle I would have bought for my house. As a European, you are initially speechless.
And? Did you buy a rifle??
(laughs) No, I’m still unarmed. So far I’ve survived.
What is the style of the local bikers like?
The motorcycles are generally much louder than in Europe, and somehow no one cares whether they comply with emissions regulations or not. Of course you can see a lot of Harleys and other big US cruisers. I find it very interesting that there is a lively Hayabusa scene here, many with tuned engines and long wings.
What is your next project?
We are already working on a new version of the fighter model. Then I’d like to build a high-performance electric motorcycle for Confederate: lots of power and even more torque!
