Country road athletes with touring comfort
The Ducati SuperSport 950 is still a popular country road athlete and in the new edition 2021 is even more comfortable and equipped. MOTORRAD was allowed to drive the S version exclusively. There is a detailed driving report in the MOTORRAD issue 5/2021, here is an excerpt from it.

Ducati used the Euro 5 changeover not only to meet technical standards, the SuperSport 950 S was also redesigned and optimized here and there. The winglets lead the airstream better to the radiator and engine. In addition, the close-fitting cladding has been given appropriate hoods on the back to cleanly dissipate the waste heat from the drive.

Instead of a hollow seat like the previous one, the new one is allowed Ducati SuperSport 950 S talk about a bench and exercise on it as you please – you will always find the right sitting position. Also convenient: the new hydraulic clutch including radial pump. Because now it’s not only easier to play with it by hand, the gears also slide much better. Thanks to the standard automatic gearshift with blipper function, this is not an issue anyway, because it does its job well.

The response is very well done – in the chosen setup super direct, without hacking.
The engine pulls through nicely from below and delivers the power wonderfully suitable for the roads. If you take the name of the Ducati SuperSport 950 S literally, you are well advised to use the automatic gearshift system diligently in the confusion of curves. But that’s exactly how it should be – ride your motorcycle with concentration, enjoy to the maximum.
Comfortable seating position, sporty chassis
If you need peace and quiet, you can also find that on the Ducati SuperSport 950 S. The 937 cubic two-cylinder also allows strolling trips, the handlebars screwed on relatively high protect the wrists and the knee angle makes tours possible without any problems.
The chassis of the SuperSport 950, which, as usual, comes completely from Ohlins in the S version, plays on the sporty side and the feeling for the front was very transparent.
Price: 15,890 euros, plus 305 euros for ancillary costs.

Conclusion
The new Ducati SuperSport 950 continues the story that began four years ago of a beginner and returnee-friendly athlete, who also ensures that even experienced motorcyclists enjoy country roads enough and does not mutate into a torturer even on longer tours.
