Sporty look and more power
Content of
The Kawasaki Versys 650 got a new sportier look. There is also more power – you’re doing all of that well, right??
In 2007 the two-cylinder Versys was born. PS was there, pulled a cheeky wheelie in front of the photo location, whirled everything up with the street surf bike and actually only gave the optics one more thing. As far as the driving characteristics of the original Versys were concerned, the PS tester had no choice – the Versys was nimble and manageable, the chassis was sporty and tight enough and the in-line twin-cylinder with 64 PS was somehow still acceptable. The essence of KAnyway, the awasaki Versys 650 agreed with the PS tester, and the new Funbike category provided the right drawer.

Versys 650 additionally become.
Still everybody’s darling
In return, the 650 twin has increased to a nominal five hp at the time, and now makes 69 hp. Sports fans will certainly not go into ecstasy right away, but it is really good to drive with. The engine has always been a success and now it is even more so. Among other things, through a one-piece exhaust system from the manifold to the silencer cap. The engine of the Kawasaki Versys 650 thunders along without significant errors, accelerates well and delivers enough thrust for leisurely as well as more committed laps. Wild surfing, cheeky braking maneuvers and deep bending – all the fine things that amazed PS so much about the original Versys – are not that easy to shake off your sleeve in 2015.
The cushioning is now much softer, designed more for comfort for long distances. The shock absorber with adjustable spring base by handwheel underscores the basic idea. The handwheel was added to make it easier to use when carrying more loads with the case system, but the ability to adjust the rebound stage, which is so popular with sporty drivers, has been given up. The bottom line is that the Versys was still that everybody’s darling, if you didn’t reject such vehicles in principle. Because the Kawasaki Versys 650 can do a little bit of everything and thus offers motorcycle fun on a broad basis. It was only this basic looseness that she gave up for a more sophisticated appearance. Buyers should probably get more as a result.
