Electric motors polarize, and not just in the motorcycle sector. Scroll through six different stories from the world of Motor Presse Stuttgart – two of them with pure motorcycle content.

E.There is one topic that drives our young editorial staff: electric motors. In all areas of Motor Presse Stuttgart. In a project, the volunteers and trainees developed a multimedia report that deals with precisely these topics. Two out of six stories within this format revolve around motorcycles, deal with the pros and cons, compare concepts and open your eyes to a completely new target group: the next generation of motorcyclists.

E-Lessons – Five Motorcycles, One Concept Comparison

We can no longer hide from it, electric motors are a big issue in the motorcycle industry. No other is currently discussed as controversially. In the article “E-Lessons”, which takes up a large part of the multi-topic multimedia report, the MOTORRAD youngsters have five different electric two-wheelers compete against each other. From the E-Schwalbe to the earthy enduro, it is difficult to score points, therefore: A concept comparison of a different kind. Who wins the eighth mile, which vehicle scores in terms of style, which model can be pushed the fastest and not to be underestimated – which one has the loudest horn? In the end, these and many other challenges showed that every concept has its strengths, and each one also has its weaknesses.

In a final podcast format – integrated into the report – the makers also deal with the topic of the emerging electric motors.

E-starters – children who don’t know petrol

The second story is all about the offspring. In trial sports, electric children’s motorcycles are conquering the market and almost completely displacing small combustion engines. New possibilities, more beginners and the first electric competition series for children were the result. The ADAC E-Kids Cup starts in Baden-Wurttemberg, the new generation is growing and more and more kids are getting easy access to motorcycling in general.
