F.B Mondial HPS 300i ABS at INTERMOT
Retro bike for the 300 class
F.B Mondial has only competed in the 125 cc so far. At INTERMOT in Cologne, the Italians presented their first larger bike, the F.B Mondial HPS 300i ABS. It will go on sale at the end of October.
Nthe larger and more powerful engine characterizes the new Scrambler model, especially the retro design. The Italians bundle many design quotes from their own history.
250 with 23 hp
The nostalgic elements include the classic short sports bench, the round headlights and the round speedometer. The wire-spoke rims with large tread tires and the raised double-end silencer exhaust system on the right-hand side bring a scrambler feeling. To this end, the southerners combine on the HPS 300i a two-tone tank painted in glossy and matt black, a short sheet metal fender over the front wheel, a wide, curved handlebar, handlebar end mirror and a front spoiler.

The single cylinder in the Mondial has 23 hp.
The new Mondial, which has a 300 in its name, is powered by a water-cooled 250 cubic four-stroke engine with four-valve technology and electronic injection. The peak output of 23.1 hp is at 8,500 rpm, the maximum torque of 22.5 Nm is reached at 6,800 tours. A six-speed gearbox modulates the drive torque via chain drive on the rear wheel.
The two-arm swing arm is supported on stereo struts with a reservoir. In the triple clamps there is a 41 mm upside-down fork with 90 mm travel. There is a 100/90 – 18 tire on the wire spoke wheels at the front, a 130 / 80-17 tire rotates at the rear. Bremspower delivers a 280 mm disc in combination with four-piston pliers. At the back, one-piston pliers bite into a 218 disc. ABS is on board.
From October from 4,095 euros
When dry, the two-seater should weigh 135 kilograms, the tank holds 9.5 liters. Mondial specifies the wheelbase with 1,360 mm, the seat height should be 785 mm.
The F.B Mondial HPS 300i ABS will go on sale at the end of October. The basic price is 4,095 euros, plus 195 euros for ancillary costs.
