Stories that start with Kawasaki parts that have been in storage for 30 years and end with a urine bag can sometimes have something autobiographical about them. With Rolf von Krautmotors from Heidelberg, these narrative contents are only the key data of his two-stroke flat tracker based on one Kawasaki H1 Mach III.
30 years in stock
Rolf was with us in the nineties Kawasaki-Rebuilding started and many parts bought out when they were cheap. Some of the motors on the shelf date from this time. Ralf Gille from Frankfurt takes one of these old mixture lubricators and overhauls and restores it where possible. Around 60 two-stroke horsepower now weighs 150 kilos. Rolf himself welded the vintage exhaust from several old motocross exhaust systems, which gives the look of “wanted” in “just so skillfully” changes.

The restored triple has a good 60 hp, but a 100 hp engine is already available as a replacement.
Once of all please
The tank is from a small Kawa enduro. It is only painted a little bit spread and a socket for the Pingel fuel tap was welded on. Rolf bought the rear section on Ebay USA years ago: Because he liked it. A new subframe from the Krautmotors workshop was adapted to this. The GRP bench is self-laminated, the local upholsterer covers it with cream-colored leather.

Kawa-yama frame
Rolf has intervened much deeper in the framework of the Kawasaki. Also in the 1990s is the one on a cantilever swing arm for a really deep one Dragster look been rebuilt. Both swing arm and shock absorber come from a Yamaha. But Rolf forgot which one.
Christine Gabler
The oil supply for the mixture is provided by a urine bag behind the flat number plate.
Where’s the urine bag?
When supplying the Triple with burning lubricant, Rolf has a problem with space. A tank made of small drinks bottles is planned behind the number plate of the fork. But there is not enough space. Rolf’s stepfather gave him the idea of taking a urine bag out of medical care: It is flat, flexible, has enough volume and, above all, fits into the little space between the steering head and the number plate.

Many are beautiful, but also impassable.
Better to leave it in its original condition.
Conclusion
Rolf has had the idea for the tracker for a while. Every year he builds a new motorcycle for his Krautmotors label. And this year a two-stroke tracker. Incidentally, Rolf already has a new racing engine on the shelf for him. 100 HP will fall on the studded tires. Then another urine bag is needed elsewhere.
