Moto Guzzi V85 TT Orizzonte
Enduro dream of the customizer
EICMA 2019
Customizer Officine RossoPuro has always had a knack for Moto Guzzis. The Orizzonte based on the V85 TT was presented at the EICMA in Milan.
With the V85 TT, Moto Guzzi has put a solid mid-range travel enduro on wire-spoke wheels. The Italian customizer Officine RossoPuro has what other enduro genes are in this two-cylinder concept with the model at EICMA M.oto Guzzi V85 TT Orizzonte shown.
Just one more single seater
First and foremost, it was more about omitting components, secondly about optimization. The pillion pegs and outriggers were removed, and the sturdy rear rack also had to go. A new seat makes the rear slimmer and the V85 TT into a single-seater. The LED taillight and the filigree license plate holder are also new. On the left and right there are new side covers, under which a small tool compartment was mounted on the right and the rear silencer of the raised exhaust system was mounted on the left. The side covers in the frame triangles replace the aluminum covers. The engine protection tray has also been redesigned. The Orizzonte’s new, larger tank is also made of aluminum.
20 kilograms slimmed down
The surgeons also work on the face. The double headlight and its massive holder were omitted. It is replaced by a rectangular headlight with a small aluminum mask. For the spring elements, Officine RossoPuro relies on a Bitubo spring strut at the rear, while the fork is equipped with new cartridge systems at the front. The V2 engine remained untouched, but with its 80 hp only has to deal with an empty weight of 188 kilograms – 20 kilograms less than the production model.
